Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Tonite Gonzalez-Collins is an American-Mexican sportscaster. She's an ESPN anchor of news and hosts SportsNation often. She began her career at ESPN in 2016. She is the daughter of television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is bilingual and has been so since the age of nine. This ability was instrumental in securing her first position at Univision, Miami. She worked alongside national producers on shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. A CBS affiliate that is located in St. Petersburg hired her in the following year as the sports reporter. Then she moved from St. Petersburg to Rio Grande Valley in 2009 to become a reporter at the Spanish stations KNVO TV 48 Univision, and Fox2 News. Reporting on stories about immigration and drug-trafficking on both sides of the border between Mexico and Texas, she worked as a reporter on five minutes of the p.m. Spanish newscast a reporter and later anchor of nine p.m. newscast, which was in English as well as a reporter again for 10 p.m. Spanish newscast. As an anchor, her duties for weather, sports or other events were regularly requested. Deportes 23 in Dallas, Univision's affiliate station in Dallas. In that station, she was given greater work to do. She did pieces on MLB's ALDS ALCS and World Series the Dallas Cowboys the NBA postseason and Finals FC Dallas and the Dallas Stars. Apart from that, she also produced Univision 23's local sports broadcast Accion Deportiva Extra on which she served as the anchor herself. Then, she became the sports host on the morning show of Despierta America Deportes. She also played the capacity as Primer Impacto on UniMas Network as well as Contacto Deportivo for its magazine show. Antonietta's parents are originally of Veracruz Mexico. They moved to Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born on November of 1985. She is more mature than her younger sister. Her family relocated into Miami in 1992 following the departure from Mexico. Her parents divorced soon after and in 1995 her mother married with a naval architect called Fabio Fajardo who died from kidney cancer in 2006. The couple remained with her family in Canton Ohio with her older sister throughout the summer when she was approached for an opportunity to work. Antonietta was a senior high school student and was certain of what she wanted to do in her future career. She went to Mount Union University in order to decide if it would be a good fit for her. It was discovered that she liked the campus and that the school offered the program she desired. She finished her education and was admitted to the university for a master's degree in media studies. Mark Bergmann was her professor as well as the director of WRMU in which she's a participant. They had a very close connection. He encouraged her to be confident, and his love of journalism greatly influenced her and she in turn, was determined to fulfill his standards and never disappoint him.
